Position Summary
The Assembler is responsible for assembling heavy-duty wooden mats according to production specifications and company quality standards. This position uses hand tools, power tools, and production equipment to position, align, secure, and inspect wood components.
The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, able to perform physically demanding work, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble wooden mats according to required measurements, specifications, and production standards.
- Position and align timbers and other wood components before assembly.
- Use drills, impact tools, hammers, wrenches, and other equipment to securely fasten materials.
- Install bolts, rods, cables, nails, or other required hardware.
- Inspect lumber and completed mats for defects, damage, incorrect measurements, or improper assembly.
- Verify that finished products meet quality and customer requirements.
- Assist with moving, stacking, and organizing materials and completed products.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily productivity expectations.
- Work cooperatively with machine operators, forklift operators, supervisors, and other team members.
- Report equipment problems, damaged materials, quality concerns, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment guidelines.
- Perform additional production-related duties as assigned.
