Night Shift Miller Apprentice/Shift Miller

This is a nightshift position but will start on first shift for training .

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the entire milling system to ensure that the process is running at optimum performance and the finished product produced meets all targeted specifications
• Measuring and recording the required parameters of the milling process
• Monitoring and recording metal detector, magnet and sifter tailing findings
• Complete assigned cleaning and maintenance activities
• Assist in the packing operation when necessary
• Responsibility to proactively offer facility and system improvements
• Actively participate in workplace safety and food safety training
• Responsibility to comply with all food safety and work place safety policies
• Responsibility to report any issues involving food safety and sanitation
• Responsibility to observe and report any unusual activity regarding site security
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of the IAOM milling correspondence course
• Successful completion of the KSU milling short course
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
• Occasional flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, or extended hours may be required to provide coverage during vacations, absences, or increased business demands
• Physically able to perform all milling requirements including but not limited to:
  • Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk trailers during the course of a nine hour shift
  • General cleaning
  • General mill maintenance and repair
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb. sacks

• Ability to walk, climb, bend and reach overhead frequently
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work safely from a ladder frequently
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion

• General maintenance and repair
