About This Role

At Vicar's Landing, exceptional care never sleeps. As a Night Supervisor (RN), you'll serve as the clinical leader during overnight operations, helping ensure residents receive outstanding care while supporting nursing staff across the community.

In this role, you'll provide guidance, oversight, and support to licensed nurses and CNAs, coordinate resident care, respond to clinical concerns, and help maintain the high standards of service that define Vicar's Landing. You'll be a trusted resource for both residents and staff while helping create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment throughout the night.

What You'll Do

Clinical Leadership & Resident Care

  • Coordinate and oversee nursing care to ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care
  • Provide leadership and support to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs during overnight shifts
  • Make routine rounds to monitor resident care, staff performance, and overall unit operations
  • Assess changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate clinical interventions
  • Help ensure individualized care plans are followed and resident needs are met
  • Promote resident rights, dignity, privacy, and quality of life in every interaction

Team Support & Staff Development

  • Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members throughout the shift
  • Assist with orientation, staff education, skills development, and competency training
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and excellence
  • Support communication between nursing staff and leadership teams

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as facility policies and procedures
  • Review charting, assessments, physician orders, and treatment records for accuracy and completeness
  • Monitor medication administration, treatment schedules, and documentation practices
  • Support infection prevention efforts, safety initiatives, and regulatory readiness
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and identify opportunities to enhance resident care

Night Operations & Emergency Response

  • Respond to emergencies and provide clinical leadership during urgent situations
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and workflow management
  • Monitor safety procedures, fire drills, disaster preparedness, and emergency protocols
  • Maintain adequate unit supplies, medications, and equipment inventory
  • Communicate concerns, incidents, and recommendations to the Director of Nursing and leadership team
