Nightshift Diesel Mechanic

Litman Excavating is looking for a reliable, skilled Nightshift Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, heavy equipment, and support vehicles. You’ll work independently during night hours to ensure equipment is safe, operational, and ready for the next day’s production schedule.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel, heavy equipment, or fleet mechanic
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and diesel engines
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Samsara, Fiix, or similar maintenance software
- Welding and fabrication experience
- CDL-A or CDL-B
- Experience with construction/excavation equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.)
