NOC Monitoring Engineer-Infrastructure Management

Summary

Monitors and resolves network, server, and application issues using tools like Centreon, SolarWinds, or Nagios in a 24/7 rotational shift role.

Responsibilities

Active Monitoring: Using tools like Centreon Solar Winds or Nagios to track network and Infrastructure health.

Incident Management: Detecting, analyzing, and resolving network, server, and application issues

Vendor management: Coordinating with ISP for link issues.

Escalation: Routing critical, unresolved issues to specialized teams, ensuring swift resolution.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed logs of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF) and infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs). Windows operating systems, computer hardware and software applications

Problem-solving skills: The ability to effectively troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose problems, and find efficient solutions.

Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and manage technology inventories.

Teamwork and independence: The capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.

Total Experience Expected: 01-02 years

Bachelor degree
