Node Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Angular to build scalable, secure and data-intensive applications. The role involves developing backend services and APIs, responsive web applications, integrations, automated testing, and containerised deployments, while working closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript and Angular.
• Build scalable REST APIs, backend services and microservices using Node.js .
• Develop reusable, responsive and high-performance Angular components and modules.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and external services.
• Work with PostgreSQL and/or other relational/NoSQL databases, including basic query and performance optimisation.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and secure API communication using JWT/OAuth and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Work with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka where required.
• Use caching technologies such as Redis where applicable.
• Implement application logging, metrics and distributed tracing, preferably using OpenTelemetry.
• Containerise applications using Docker and work with CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment.
• Write clean, modular, reusable and testable code with appropriate unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot application, API and performance issues across frontend and backend.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Core requirements:

Backend:

• 3-5 years of hands-on Node.js development.
• Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills.
• REST API development and microservices.
• Express.js / NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks.
• PostgreSQL or similar relational database.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API security.
• Hands-on experience with OOJS, ES6 Programming, TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience with Server-Side Rendering and Unit Testing Frameworks
• Familiarity with Code Quality tools and processes (ESLint, Flow, Sonar, etc. )

Frontend:

• Proficiency in Angular and the latest versions
• TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS.
• Angular components, services, routing and reusable modules.
• Responsive web development and browser compatibility.
• Frontend performance and basic accessibility practices.
• Deep knowledge of Angular best practices and commonly used modules

Engineering and DevOps:

• Docker and containerised application development.
• Git and CI/CD fundamentals.
• Unit/integration testing and code-quality practices.
• Understanding of application logging, monitoring and observability.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.

Good to Have:

• React.js experience.
• Kafka, gRPC and Redis.
• Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
• Experience with high-volume/data-intensive applications.
• Experience with performance tuning and caching.
