NodeJS back end engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Node.js backend services and RESTful APIs using Express.js, databases, and security best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services & RESTful APIs using Node.js & Express.js.
- Build scalable and high-availability server-side applications.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Integrate third-party services and external APIs.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Debug and resolve production issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
- Experience with MongoDB and/or SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Knowledge of JWT, OAuth, and role-based access control.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Experience with unit testing (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
