Nuclear Medicine Technologist
About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center with the Directorate of Clinical Support within the Nuclear Medicine Division in San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Perform full spectrum of nuclear medicine procedures for a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
Perform tests and examinations using radionuclides, radiation detectors, scanning apparatus, and related equipment in medical laboratories and clinics.
Responsible for the end-to-end management of radiopharmaceuticals, from procurement and preparation to patient administration.
Employ aseptic techniques to prepare and manipulate sterile radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications.
Manage the use of personnel monitoring devices, monitor exposure reports to ensure all staff remain within the annual regulatory limit.
Perform imaging procedures, utilizing modern methodologies and accurately acquiring and processing data to optimize the studies for the physician's interpretation.
Facilitate the administration of advanced radioligand therapies for neuroendocrine tumors and metastatic prostate cancer.
