Role Overview
As a Nurse Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you'll perform essential patient care duties, provide valuable input for care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your work directly supports our nursing teams and contributes to the exceptional care we deliver.

What You Will Do
- Perform specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
- Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
- Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Uphold the Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.
- Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNA certification preferred.
