About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital, Sledgehammer Troop Medical Clinic, Fort Benning, Georgia. Work hours: 0600-1530. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan Repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Coordinate healthcare services such as specialty appointments, physical therapy, and mental health services to ensure there are no gaps in outpatient care for wounded, ill, or injured service members.
Collaborate with beneficiaries, their families, and healthcare providers to maximize healthcare response, quality, and cost effective outcomes.
Guide wounded, ill, or injured service members through the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB process) and Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES).
Serve as liaison between wounded, ill, or injured service members and the Veteran Health Care System to facilitate a seamless transition.
Serve as liaison between wounded, ill, or injured service members and military unit commanders to provide regular status updates regarding duty limitations and return-to-duty timelines.
Identify community-based resources, home health services, and specialized equipment.
Advocate for wounded, ill, or injured service members while adhering to patient privacy parameters.
