Nurse (Clinical/Emergency Department)

About the Position: This position is located in the Emergency Medicine Department at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. This position will be shared with two individuals in part-time status. Work schedule is 20 hours per week (40 hours bi-weekly total). This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide Emergency Department (ED) clinical nursing care to patients of any age group.

Perform triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements.

Observe, monitor, and assess patient's condition.

Operate and monitor highly complex technical equipment, (e.g. cardiac monitors, ventilators, various intravenous infusion pumps, and defibrillators) and document appropriately in the health record.

Determine and implement proper emergency measures.

Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff, assisting with complex nursing and diagnostic procedures.
