About the Position: This Nurse (Clinical) GS-0610-12 position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. The incumbent will serve as a staff nurse within the inpatient multiservice pediatric unit and provide comprehensive, family centered nursing care to children with acute and complex medical needs. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Obtain patient history and complete a full nursing assessment.
Utilize the comprehensive nursing process to formulate patient care plans.
Administer medications.
Establish criteria and evaluate/assess effectiveness of patient treatment.
Monitor safety hazards, ensuring immediate action is taken to resolve or correct potential concerns.
Operate and monitor highly complex technical and specialized medical/surgical equipment.
