NURSE (ICU)

About the Position: This position is located within Operations, Inpatient Services, Intensive Care Unit., at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Landstuhl, Germany. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

Assist physicians during complex and life-threatening procedures, ensuring safe and efficient clinical execution.

Monitor and document patient status using the nursing process, including assessment of physical and mental condition, trending of vital signs, laboratory values, and continuous cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Prepare, administer, and manage pharmacologic therapies—such as antiarrhythmic, vasoactive, anticoagulant, and thrombolytic medications—while adhering strictly to the 6 Rights of Medication Administration.

Serve as a preceptor and clinical resource for nurses and paraprofessional staff, supporting skill development and adherence to evidence-based practice.

Apply evidence-based nursing interventions in the care of critically ill medical, surgical, and trauma patients.

Utilize computerized provider order entry systems and electronic health records for documentation, communication, and training.

Participate in staff accountability procedures, responding within required timeframes during real-world events or exercises.
