Nurse Practitioner/ Physicians Assistant - PRN
Description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support the health care needs of our community. We’re looking for team members who possess not only the relevant clinical skills but also a positive attitude, flexibility, and a creative mindset. This role primarily consists of Saturday coverage (2–3 Saturdays per month), with the potential to pick up an additional 2–3 weekday shifts per month. Potential weekday shifts are flexible. Saturday hours are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The ability to work autonomously is essential for this role. Are you ready to join our West Volusia Walk-In Clinic?
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive assessments through interviews and physical examinations
- Educate patients on overall wellness and health maintenance
- Develop and implement patient management plans
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Perform necessary tasks for in house research program
- Cover PTO in family Practice and Walk-in - hours can vary
Qualifications:
- Florida licensed APRN/ PA
- Strong, positive leadership qualities
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work no less than one Saturday per month
