We are seeking a caring and responsible Nursing Aide to support adults with intellectual disabilities at a disability care centre.

This role is suited to candidates with hands-on experience in intellectual disability care and personal care assistance, who are passionate about supporting clients’ daily needs, well-being and independence.

📍 Industry: Disability Care
📅 Contract Duration: 3 months
🕒 Working Hours: Shift-based, including weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, feeding and toileting.

• Support routine healthcare needs, including medication administration and basic health monitoring, in accordance with training and authorised procedures.

• Observe and report changes in clients’ physical health, behaviour and well-being.

• Assist with physiotherapy exercises, daily activities and recreational programmes.

• Accompany clients to medical appointments when required.

• Support care staff in maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and escalate concerns to supervisors.
  

Requirements

• Mandatory: Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

• Mandatory: Experience in nursing aide duties and personal care assistance.

• 1–3 years of relevant nursing care, healthcare or disability care experience preferred.

• Certificate or Diploma in Nursing, Healthcare Support or an equivalent qualification preferred.

• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

• Caring, patient and responsible, with good communication skills.

• Able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team.
