Job Summary:

The Nursing and Allied Health Program Manager serves as a clinical bridge across the IASLC’s three pillars — Science, Education, and Community — helping to translate complex oncology and lung cancer science into accessible, accurate, and engaging content, programs, and member experiences. This position will focus on amplifying the contributions that nurses and allied health professionals make to multidisciplinary cancer care teams around the world. This role collaborates cross-functionally to support membership growth, medical education initiatives, volunteer engagement, and multidisciplinary community-building efforts that advance IASLC’s mission and global reach.

This is a full-time, nonsupervisory, exempt position reporting to the Director, Education. The position is based in IASLC's downtown Denver, Colorado office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide clinical insight and strategic recommendations to ensure that the IASLC’s programs, medical education offerings, events, and engagement initiatives reflect the evolving needs and perspectives of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals involved in lung cancer care.
  • Serve as the primary staff liaison for assigned clinical and multidisciplinary committees, working groups, and volunteer communities, including the Nursing and Allied Health Professionals (NAHP) Committee and the Survivorship Committee, to support strategic initiatives, engagement, and organizational priorities.
  • Build relationships with nursing and allied health leaders, volunteers, faculty, and partner organizations to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in IASLC initiatives.
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter resource to internal staff departments.
  • Collaborate with the Science and Education team to identify learning needs of healthcare professionals, and to develop and promote clinically relevant medical education content, resources, and initiatives.
  • Review educational content designed to support accredited nursing education.
  • Partner with Marketing & Communications to translate complex scientific and clinical information into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate communications while preserving scientific accuracy and integrity.
  • Support membership acquisition, engagement, retention, and growth strategies focused on nurses, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, and other multidisciplinary healthcare audiences.
  • Evaluate IASLC programs, educational offerings, events, and engagement initiatives through a clinical lens and provide recommendations to strengthen relevance, value, and participation among multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Identify opportunities to increase participation in IASLC membership, volunteer programs, committees, educational offerings, and events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and volunteer leaders to identify opportunities for greater multidisciplinary representation and engagement across IASLC conferences, educational programs, committees, working groups, and member communities.
  • Advise on the development of new programs, resources, and engagement opportunities that support the evolving needs of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals involved in lung cancer care.
  • Monitor emerging trends, professional needs, and engagement opportunities within nursing, allied health, and broader clinical communities and provide recommendations to IASLC leadership.
  • Support cross-functional organizational initiatives and strategic priorities by providing clinical insight, audience perspective, and engagement recommendations.
  • Periodic domestic and international travel is required to support conferences, committee meetings, and other organizational initiatives (5%).
