Role Overview

As a Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients. Working under the guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs), you'll provide essential patient care, assist in care planning, and respond to emergent situations. Your contributions are key to maintaining the exceptional standards of care that define Henry Ford Health.

What You Will Do

• Provide specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs under RN supervision.
• Assist in planning and implementing patient care based on observed needs.
• Respond to emergent situations following established procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Uphold Henry Ford Health's Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., CNA, PCT, PAT) OR current enrollment in a nursing program with completed Fundamentals of Nursing course OR foreign-trained RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of experience in a similar role.
• Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
