Assist residents with walking, transfers, positioning, range-of-motion exercises, mobility devices, and other restorative activities.

Reinforce techniques and recommendations established by physical, occupational, or other therapy professionals.
Provide additional guidance and support to less-experienced care associates regarding restorative approaches and techniques.
Assist with maintaining restorative equipment and ensure equipment is clean, safe, and used appropriately.
Provide compassionate support and companionship to residents, including individuals living with dementia or cognitive impairments.
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, preferences, and personal choice throughout all care and restorative activities.
Follow community policies, infection-control procedures, safety practices, and applicable state and federal requirements.
Participate in resident care discussions and communicate relevant observations that may assist the interdisciplinary team in evaluating resident needs.

What Makes You Successful

Previous experience in caregiving, senior living, rehabilitation, restorative care, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare environment.
CNA certification preferred and may be required depending on community or state requirements.
Previous experience assisting with restorative nursing, rehabilitation, mobility, or activities of daily living preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with nursing, therapy, residents, families, and other associates.
Ability to provide guidance and serve as a positive resource to less-experienced care team members.
Compassionate, patient, dependable, and committed to maintaining resident dignity and independence.
Ability to follow individualized care plans and established restorative programs with limited supervision.
