OB/GYN Laborist (30530)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an OB/GYN Laborist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including labor management, deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Evaluate and manage obstetric triage patients, admissions, and emergencies.
• Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed.
• Manage obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal-fetal resuscitation.
• Perform inpatient and ED gynecologic consultations, emergency gynecologic surgery, and inpatient gynecology management.
• Collaborate with MFM, anesthesia, neonatology, nursing, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety debriefings, and education/mentorship of residents, students, and nursing staff.
