Position Summary
Provides leadership and oversight of the Obstetrics department to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care. Responsible for daily operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, staff development, and coordination of services in collaboration with Acute Care leadership and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Obstetrics department.
- Ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental resources to support efficient patient care.
- Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and clinical practices in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Lead quality improvement activities, audits, performance monitoring, and regulatory readiness.
- Coordinate obstetric procedures and patient flow with physicians, Surgical Services, and other departments.
- Oversee staff onboarding, education, competency assessment, coaching, and professional development.
- Promote collaboration among physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to support positive patient outcomes and experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current California RN license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of Obstetrics nursing experience and three (3) years of Obstetrics leadership experience required.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
- STABLE certification required within six (6) months of hire.
- Obstetrics specialty certification preferred (RNC-OB, C-EFM, C-MNN, C-ONQS, or equivalent).
- ACLS certification recommended.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year
