OCC Supervisor

The role:

• The OCC Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Operations Control Center (OCC) staff, ensuring safe, punctual, and efficient train operations across the high-speed rail network.
• This position leads a team of controllers, dispatchers, and power and communications personnel on shift, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, safety standards, and service plans.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensure all shifts of assigned controllers are covered with qualified staff.
• Provide competency assurance and general on-the-job observation for assigned controllers.
• Share relevant business and operational information with direct reports.
• Conduct trainings.
• Lead and participate in operational meetings, such as performance reviews.
• Manage the performance and personal development of direct report staff.
• Participate in on-call OCC management on-duty calls.
• Directly lead the assigned controllers and team.

Your profile/ qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Operations Management or equivalent Experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management or a related field.
• Experience in leading teams.
• Proven knowledge of compliance requirements within the industry.
• Affinity with operational control centers or similar environments would be a plus.
• Knowledge of incident response protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management in the industry.
• Proven time management and organizational skills, with excellent presentation skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and good understanding of passenger railway operations and maintenance.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office and operational IT systems.
