Responsibilities include administering treatments based on evaluations or reassessments, completing documentation accurately and on time, and maintaining departmental productivity standards.
The COTA delegates appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel, participates in patient case management, and supports daily departmental operations through both clinical and non-clinical duties. Additional expectations include participation in departmental, hospital, or community programs and meetings, as well as teaching, orienting, training, supervising, and mentoring staff, volunteers, observers, and at least one student annually.
