Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD. The position operates within a clinical setting. Standard working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1600, though slight variations may occur based on clinic needs. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Coordinate and administer diverse occupational therapy programs.

Initiate, implement, and recommend treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist.

Instruct patients in a variety of exercise programs and activities of daily living.

Make recommendations for patient's rehabilitation and reintegration needs.

Instruct and design specific training programs for occupational therapy assistant interns.
