Pay Rate: $105/hr to $110.91/hr, DOE
Job Overview:
Lead change management strategies and activities across diverse university change initiatives to drive adoption and usage. This role works collaboratively with central teams, academic schools, and department users to manage stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and operational readiness throughout all project phases to improve business processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Change Strategy & Lifecycle Planning
- Strategize and partner on change activities across all project phases (Scope/Kickoff, Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Support)
- Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, SMEs, and change networks to drive awareness, desire, knowledge, action, and reinforcement
- Document and monitor change impacts (current vs. future state) to inform communication and training plans
- Contribute to risk/issue logs, key decision tracking, and executive presentations
- Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead the design, branding, and distribution of comprehensive communication plans (emails, newsletters, surveys, website updates, and presentations)
- Tailor complex technical information into targeted, high-impact communications adapted for diverse audiences--from technical teams and non-technical staff to deans and executive leadership
- Training & Instructional Design
- Design, develop, and deliver multi-channel training programs (user guides, tip sheets, presentations, online videos, webinars, and classroom instruction)
- Create marketing and promotional assets (social media, signage, printed collateral) to drive engagement
- Operational Readiness & Support Delivery
- Lead organizational readiness activities, including skills assessments, FAQs, capacity planning, service rehearsals, and knowledge base articles
- Partner with service centers and school leadership to update operational policies and procedures
- Subject Matter Expertise & Process Improvement
- Serve as an ADKAR SME to measure project outcomes, assess adoption metrics, and continuously refine change templates
- Collaborate with portfolio leads on roadmaps, capacity planning, and innovative change strategies
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience & Methodology
- 7+ years of change management and communications experience, working with ADKAR or equivalent frameworks
- Direct experience supporting large-scale organizational change efforts across full project lifecycles
- Higher education experience is preferred, especially partnership with academic units and schools (e.g., Deans, Offices of the President and Provost, etc.)
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci/CCMP) preferred
- Communication & Collaboration
- Exceptional written, verbal, and active listening skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all seniority levels
- Skilled in designing compelling presentation slides and collaborating with design teams for marketing/training assets
- Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset
- Adaptability & Execution
- Proven ability to work flexibly in ambiguous environments with strong resilience and tenacity
- Familiarity with standard project management approaches, tools, and phases
