Odoo Developer Senior/Med

Role Description This is a full-time role for an Odoo Developer Senior/Med based in Heliopolis. The person in this role will develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules according to business and client requirements, ensuring reliability, performance, and usability. Daily tasks include analyzing functional needs, implementing new features, integrating Odoo with other systems, and resolving technical issues and bugs. The role involves collaborating with business analysts, project managers, and end users to translate workflows into technical specifications and document solutions. The Odoo Developer will also participate in code reviews, optimize existing implementations, support deployments, and contribute to best practices and technical standards within the team.

Odoo Development

• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules.

• Extend and customize existing Odoo modules.

• Implement business logic using the Odoo ORM.

• Create and modify models, fields, relationships, constraints, computed fields, and business methods.

• Work with Odoo inheritance and module extension mechanisms.

• Customize Odoo workflows and business processes.

• Develop custom reports and documents using QWeb.

• Customize Odoo views including Form, List, Kanban, Search, Pivot and other supported views.

• Develop and customize Odoo frontend components using JavaScript/Owl when required

Requirements

• Strong experience with Odoo development, including customizing modules, writing Python code, and working with Odoo frameworks and APIs.

• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL, with the ability to design schemas, optimize queries, and handle data migration within Odoo.

• Solid understanding of front-end technologies related to Odoo (such as HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript) for modifying views and improving user interfaces.

• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, including workflow design, process automation, and system integration.

• Familiarity with software development best practices, version control (e.g., Git), testing, and documentation in a collaborative environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work constructively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Previous experience in ERP implementation or business applications, and knowledge of common business domains (e.g., accounting, inventory, CRM) is a plus.

• Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and mentor less experienced team members when needed.
