About the Position
Bond University’s is looking for a highly organised, proactive and personable Office & Events Coordinator to join our team at Bond Brisbane.
This is a varied and hands-on role that sits at the heart of the day-to-day operation of our Brisbane campus. You will help support the delivery of executive education programs, corporate events and University activities, while ensuring our clients, learners, presenters and visitors receive an exceptional experience every time they engage with Bond Brisbane.
No two days will be the same. One day you might be coordinating a corporate event, organising catering and room layouts; the next you could be supporting an executive education program, responding to client enquiries, assisting with financial administration or helping develop content to promote an upcoming event.
About the Person
You will be an organised and adaptable professional who enjoys working in a varied role with busy periods around events and program delivery. You will be comfortable moving between administration, event coordination, customer service and practical operational tasks, including setting up and packing down rooms, setting and clearing tables, washing dishes, managing refreshments and supplies, and ensuring the venue is clean, tidy and ready for the next event.
The role will require evening work to support programs, events and stakeholder engagement.
You will bring:
· A degree and/or 3–5 years' relevant experience in events, corporate learning, administration, organisational development or a related field.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently, take initiative and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a genuine customer-service mindset.
· Confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives, clients, academics, facilitators, learners and external partners.
· Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and event management systems.
· Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to resolve issues professionally and independently.
· A willingness to get involved and take a hands-on approach when required – from coordinating an event to setting up a room and ensuring the venue is ready for guests.
· The ability to work collaboratively in a small team and across different areas of the University.
Experience in higher education, executive education, corporate learning or events will be highly regarded.
