Office Manager
About Clair
If you can send your friends money in seconds, why does it still take your employer two weeks to send your paycheck?
At Clair, we are on a mission to create financial freedom for America's workers by giving them a digital banking platform that allows them to get paid as soon as they clock out of work. But we're not just another digital bank or on-demand pay provider. We meet Americans at their place of work by embedding our products within the scheduling, workforce management, and payroll apps they already use every day.

Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Office Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day office operations and help create a well-run, welcoming workplace as Clair continues to grow. This role goes beyond traditional office management — you'll also support light People/HR/Marketing operations and help coordinate company events, making you a key part of the employee experience at Clair.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment — someone who can anticipate needs before they become problems and bring calm, capable execution to a lean, growing team.
What You'll Own
Office & Facilities Management
Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring a clean, functional, and well-stocked workplace, and serve as point of contact for any team member issues
Own vendor relationships (cleaning, maintenance, food/beverage, building management, etc.) — negotiate contracts and manage renewals
Serve as the primary point of contact for building management and facilities issues
Manage office supply inventory, ordering, and budget
Coordinate office moves, renovations, or space planning as the team grows
Light People/HR Operations Support
Support onboarding logistics for new hires (workspace setup, equipment, first-day experience)
Partner with the People team on culture and engagement initiatives
Support with recruiting coordination and candidate on-site interviews
Marketing Support
Support our Marketing team with onsite podcast recording setup and HR Tech coordination
Event Management
Plan and execute company events as needed — company offsites, holiday parties, and all-hands gatherings
Manage event budgets, vendors, and logistics from start to finish
Coordinate catering and logistics for regular in-office needs (team lunches, client visits, etc.)
General Operations
Identify opportunities to improve office processes and systems as the company scales
Manage relevant tools/software for office operations (booking systems, supply ordering platforms, etc.)
Handle ad-hoc administrative and operational projects as they arise
What You'll Bring
3-4 years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or a related administrative/operations role
Proven experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets independently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and a natural instinct for noticing what could be improved — you care about the small things that make a workplace feel thoughtful, polished, and well-run
An eye for design and organization, with an appreciation for creating welcoming and thoughtfully maintained spaces
Resourceful and hands-on, with the willingness and ability to troubleshoot everyday office and technology issues before escalating
Experience supporting HR/People operations tasks (even informally) is a plus
Event planning or coordination experience
Excellent communication skills — comfortable interfacing with vendors, building management, leadership, and employees at all levels
A proactive, "no task too small" mentality with a genuine interest in creating a great workplace experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment where priorities can shift
Experience coordinating an office move, buildout, or expansion — including vendor management, timeline coordination, and minimizing disruption to the team.
What You'll Get
Ownership over building and shaping the in-office experience as Clair scales
Exposure across People, Operations, and leadership functions
A collaborative, mission-driven team culture
