Position Overview\:
The TCNJ Office of Alumni Engagement - Student Worker will support initiatives to increase engagement across our alumni community. Working closely with the Alumni Engagement Coordinator and the Communications Graphic Specialist, the student worker will support marketing deliverables and graphic design needs to help promote alumni engagement efforts across social media, email, and web, and event related needs.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to\:
Create visually engaging graphic design elements for alumni engagement communications (email/social) while adhering to TCNJ brand guidelines.
Develop creative elements to support marketing needs related to signature events, including Alumni Weekend and Homecoming, and other events.
Import and format email copy into a third-party email service provider for alumni engagement communications.
Assist on tracking event RSVPs and inputting responses into events database. Help develop and organize event name tags.
Assist with collecting and organizing alumni class notes (job updates, wedding, baby, engagement and anniversary announcement) and email/address updates
Help oversee alumni email inbox.
Partner with Alumni Engagement Coordinator and Associate Director, Alumni Engagement on email and social media analytics.
Assist with the Alumni Grove Brick program, which allows alumni to commemorate their accomplishments while giving back to the college, by processing orders, managing shipments and inventory, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Partner with team members on needs associated with branded merchandise and third-party vendors.
Served as a proof reader/quality control check on marketing communications or files.
Participate in monthly meetings with various leads and gain insight into alumni engagement, corporate connections, and Career Center programming to learn about joint opportunities for collaboration.

Learn TCNJs brand guidelines and voice.
Expand graphic design skills.
Learn how to use third party platforms such as MailChimp for email communications/analytics and Raiser’s Edge for event RSVP tracking.
Required Qualifications\:
Ability to work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week
Has a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
Preferred Qualifications\:
Can create visually engaging graphics
Has strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Is a creative thinker, with a strong visual acuity
Has the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Is an effective communicator, verbally and in writing
Has the ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet deadlines across any array of communication needs
Has the ability to pivot on needs, based upon project flow/urgency
Experienced in Canva is a plus, although not required
Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google products for daily use (sheets, docs, slides, etc.)
Has strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, other)
