Job Summary:
The Senior/Programme Officer supports the Programme Executive (PE) in the day-to-day operations of the Active Ageing Centre (AAC). This role focuses on assisting in programme planning and delivery, supporting outreach efforts, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The Senior/Programme Officer works closely with seniors, community partners, and volunteers to create an engaging, safe, and supportive environment that promotes active ageing and preventive health practices.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supports the PE in programme delivery, outreach, and administration, ensuring smooth execution of activities and operations.
  • Provides operational, logistical, and administrative support under the guidance of the PE.
  • Assists in planning and organises logistics for programmes; facilitates on-site activities and events.
  • Supports outreach efforts, makes follow-up calls/visits, and encourages seniors to participate in activities.
  • Coordinates volunteer schedules, supports training sessions, and assists volunteers during programmes.
  • Maintains attendance records, updates databases, assists with reports, handles petty cash claims and basic procurement.
  • Assists in liaising with partners for event logistics or participant referrals as directed by PE.
  • Offers basic information and referrals; escalates complex cases to the PE.
  • Supports health-related programmes and encourages seniors to adopt active lifestyles.
  • Supports safety checks, monitors activities, and reports incidents to PE.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCE‘O’/" N" Level, Diploma, or equivalent with 1–2 years’ relevant experience, preferably in eldercare/community service.
  • Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills.
  • Ability to facilitate programmes and activities for seniors.
  • Good administrative, organisational, and coordination skills.
  • Empathetic, reliable, and positive team player with a heart for serving seniors.
