Offshore Customer Service Representative
1. Construction & execution
Act as company representative on site for construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Act as company focal point onsite for all construction execution matters.
Ensure contractor readiness in terms of procedures, manpower, equipment, and work fronts.
Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of offshore works.
Organize, coordinate, and supervise activities in line with project priorities and micro-schedule.
Review and validate work packs and job cards prior to execution.
Ensure required inspections, audits, and equipment certifications are completed.
Monitor contractor performance (safety, quality, progress).
Define and prioritize work fronts based on site constraints.
Ensure proper tracking and close-out of punch items.
2. PTW & worksite control
Manage permit to work (PTW) for the assigned work areas.
Ensure full compliance with PTW procedures and safe work requirements.
Control worksite activities to ensure consistency between permits, job cards, and execution.
Identify conflicts between activities and adjust priorities accordingly.
Stop any unsafe or non-compliant work.
3. HSE responsibilities
Act as HSE SA onboard for project activities.
Ensure full compliance with company HSE standards and procedures.
Promote strong safety culture and enforce life saving rules.
Ensure proper implementation of risk assessments and method statements.
Participate in safety meetings, audits, and site inspections.
Monitor contractor HSE performance and follow up corrective actions.
4. Coordination & interfaces
Participate in daily coordination meetings.
Ensure alignment between construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
Resolve interface issues between disciplines and/or other packages.
Adapt worksite coordination to SIMOPS constraints when applicable (e.g. rig operations).
5. Team management
Lead and coordinate company supervision team onboard.
Define roles and responsibilities for supervision personnel.
Provide technical and HSE support to the team.
Ensure adequate supervision and control of site activities.
Resolve site issues and support decision-making.
6. Progress & reporting
Monitor and report progress against plan.
Highlight delays, risks, and deviations.
Review and validate contractor reports.
Report to hook-up lead on progress and concerns.
Propose corrective actions when required.
7. Commissioning support
Support commissioning activities and system handover.
Ensure construction completion is aligned with commissioning needs.
Assist in preparing systems for start-up.
8. General
Maintain effective working relationship with contractor and operations authorities.
Ensure project objectives are met (HSE, quality, schedule).
Perform any other duties as required.
Job dimensions
The role includes the following key aspects:
Mobilization may start onshore or directly offshore, depending on project needs.
Work is performed offshore on a rotational basis.
Involvement in construction, hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning (greenfield and brownfield).
Close coordination with discipline leads, supervisors, contractors, and ICAPS/completion teams.
Exposure to SIMOPS at later stages of the project.
Responsible for execution of assigned offshore scope.
Qualifications & experience required
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree/HND or equivalent in related field
- Experience: At least 10 years' experience in the offshore oil & gas industry
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practice in project management
- Experience in offshore construction and hook-up activities and hook-up conditions is mandatory; EPC supervision on client side is preferable
- Available for technical missions worldwide
- Previous experience in permit to work coordination/control of work is a must
- Familiar with relevant general specifications, MANASA, and applicable codes and standards
- Language: Fluent English
- Computer literate
- Good leadership skills and effective communication skills
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment

- Major Emergencies Management - Initial Response (MEMIR) (OPITO approved)
