Offshore Medic / Doctor

Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a qualified and experienced Offshore Medic/Doctor to join our client's offshore team. As an Offshore Medic, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to crew members on board vessels in offshore operations.

Your key responsibilities will include assessing injuries and illnesses, administering first aid, and providing emergency medical services as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining medical supplies and equipment, ensuring the health and safety of all personnel on board, and coordinating with onshore medical teams when necessary.

This position requires a dedicated professional who is able to work in a challenging offshore environment while prioritizing the health and well-being of the crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate medical care and assistance to crew members as required
  • Conduct medical assessments and treatments on board
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Monitor and manage the health and safety of all personnel
  • Coordinate medical evacuations and liaise with onshore medical facilities
  • Conduct health and safety training for crew members
  • Manage medical supplies inventory and ensure all items are up-to-date
  • Participate in emergency response drills and training
  • Setting up a mobile medical clinic

Requirements

  • Medical degree and valid medical license to practice
  • Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience as a medical professional in offshore or remote environments is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations
  • Willingness to work in challenging offshore conditions
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and reporting
  • Ability to train and guide crew members in health and safety practices
