Job Summary

A Toyota Dealership Oil Change Team Member (also known as a TXM Team Member) is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, and basic inspections. This role supports the service department by ensuring vehicles are serviced quickly, safely, and according to Toyota standards while providing excellent customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes on customer vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.

• Check and top off vehicle fluids including coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid.

• Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors or technicians.

• Inspect tires for wear and maintain proper tire pressure.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures.

• Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and other materials following environmental and safety guidelines.

• Assist technicians with basic maintenance tasks when needed.

• Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and returned to customers in good condition.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive tools.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

• Strong attention to detail and safety.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (often required).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous automotive service or lube technician experience.

• Familiarity with Toyota vehicles and service procedures.

• Interest in advancing within the automotive technician career path.

Work Environment

• Automotive dealership service department.

• Indoor shop environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and automotive equipment.

• May require weekend shifts depending on dealership hours
