Job Summary:
The Security & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises and patrolling various locations throughout the park. This role works closely with leadership to address safety concerns, respond to incidents, and support overall park operations. During non-peak periods, the Security & Safety Officer will assist with maintenance and groundskeeping projects, contributing to the upkeep and presentation of the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrol park grounds on foot and/or via motorized vehicles to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals at the backstage entrance.
- Respond promptly to all security needs and calls for service.
- Report and communicate any suspicious activity to the appropriate parties.
- Provide customer service and assistance to park patrons and employees as needed.
- Collaborate with local public agencies in response to serious security concerns.
- Complete daily reports documenting activities and noting irregularities such as property damage, equipment issues, theft, unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Investigate reported disturbances and take appropriate action.
- Prepare detailed written reports and obtain statements from victims and witnesses regarding security and safety incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of keys, radios, and other facility equipment signed out from the Security post.
- Assist with maintenance, landscaping, and general facility projects during downtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
