On-Call Driver
Main Job Function and Purpose: On-call driver for our Class B bus and van. Transport students and their children safely to and from requested destinations. Ensure safety of passengers and vehicle at all times.
Essential Job Duties
1. Transport people or items to assigned location as pre-designated on-call.
- Assists all passengers in and out of vehicle. This includes disabled persons and children.
- Secures passenger's wheelchairs and strollers to restraining devices to stabilize devices during transport.
- Operates radio or similar device to communicate with staff, supervisor or other vehicle drivers to report disruption of service.
5. Checks and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
6. Maintains proper safety of vehicle, including regular safety checks.
7. Immediately report to supervisor any vehicle safety, maintenance and hazard issues.
8. 2% - Instructs passengers on properly on proper seating and restraints and corrects any actions of passengers that are unsafe (i.e. standing in vehicle, placing arms and hands outside vehicle, unsecured passengers, distracting the driver, etc . . .)Act as a liaison between volunteer tutors, DRR students, and OCRM Success Center Manager.
9. Able to operate a Class B vehicle with safety, certification, and proficiency.

Arrive on-time and help others when needed. Provide a defensive-style of driving (safety first). Arrive early at destination and avoid rushing. Treat company’s vehicles just like yours (don’t abuse or drive hard). Computer literate. Clean driving record. Ability to drive large vehicles, Class B license.
