On-Site Specialist I
Summary
On-site specialist responsible for managing hazardous/non-hazardous waste services at client facilities, including packing, labeling, shipping, and forklift operations to comply with environmental regulations.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for providing hazardous and non-hazardous services at our client facility to meet our client’s environmental needs in accordance with State and Federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position will work in a supervised and/or independent capacity to successfully and safely complete scheduled projects for customers. Responsibilities may include packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping waste based on the contract parameters.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing and potential problems.
- Manage onsite customer’s hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contact.
- Comply and enforce all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Palletize drums and arrange for pickup.
- Unload trucks using a forklift or tugger Pick-up and pack recyclables. I.E Batteries, cardboard and plastic and non recyclables. I.E food waste
Education / Experience / Background:
- high school diploma/GED
- Two to four years of forklift experience
- Two to four years of warehouse experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with project/time management
- Knowledge of continuous process operations, chemical processing and waste disposal.
- Computer proficiency with Google Office.
Will provide the following training:
- 40 - hour HAZWOPER, Safety, and DOT
Pay Range: $22 to $23 per hour
