Summary: The Training Specialist is responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of employees
onboarding programs and ongoing training and development initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Human Resources, this role supports organizational effectiveness by ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to succeed. The Training Specialist collaborates with leadership and subject matter experts to develop learning programs that align with company goals, compliance requirements, and workforce development strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Onboarding & Orientation:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve new employee onboarding programs.
• Coordinate orientation sessions to ensure new hires receive a comprehensive introduction to company culture, policies, safety practices, and job expectations.
• Partner with hiring managers to ensure role-specific onboarding plans are developed and executed.
• Monitor onboarding effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Training & Development:
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
• Develop and deliver instructor-led training, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, and blended learning programs.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions on company systems, policies, leadership skills, compliance, and technical competencies.
• Maintain training calendars and coordinate logistics for training sessions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Recommend and implement continuous learning initiatives.

Learning Program Administration:
• Manage learning management system (LMS) content and reporting (if applicable).
• Track employee training completion and maintain accurate training records.
• Ensure compliance with required certifications and regulatory training.
• Assist with development of career pathways and succession planning programs.

Collaboration & Strategic Support:
• Work closely with department leaders to align training initiatives with business objectives.
• Support performance management processes by integrating training and development solutions.
• Assist with policy development and communication related to employee development.
• Stay current with industry best practices, adult learning principles, and workforce development trends.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support employee engagement initiatives.
• Participate in special HR projects as assigned.
• May assist with compliance reporting or audits related to training and development.
