Job Title\: Onboarding Coordinator (Edgewing)

Location\: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems Air site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary\: £40,938+ Dependent of skills and experience

You’re expected to have completed 12 months in role prior to applying for an advertised vacancy and you should also discuss the internal opportunity with your line manager to ensure sustained business continuity and to further support your career development.

Job Description\:

The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for delivering a seamless, engaging, and well-coordinated onboarding experience for all secondees. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that each individual’s arrival is carefully planned and executed, working closely with Edgewing’s internal stakeholders and the partner company. The aim is to create a positive first impression, accelerate integration, and ensure all operational, compliance, and training requirements are met efficiently.

Core duties\:

  • Managing the end-to-end onboarding process for secondees, ensuring all pre-arrival and day-one activities are completed to a high standard
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for incoming secondees, providing clear guidance and support before and upon arrival, carrying out Day 1 Right to Work checks
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of the onboarding journey, continuously reviewing and improving efficiency
  • Providing guidance on internal policies, systems, and processes to support early productivity
  • Acting as a resource for new joiners, helping them navigate the organisation during their initial period

Essential Skills\:

  • Experience using HR systems and Office 365
  • Experience working with processes, clear timelines and compliance cross functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with compliance processes
