[Online Interview]Senior Electrical Design Engineer

ELECTRICAL DESIGN SCOPE
Design electrical hardware for home appliance products, including:
✓ AC-DC power supplies
✓ DC-DC power converters
✓ Sensor and actuator interfaces
✓ Develop schematics, select components, calculate design margins, and perform design reviews to ensure product performance, reliability, safety, and cost targets are met.
PCB LAYOUT MANAGEMENT
Manage PCB layout development by:
✓ Defining PCB layout guidelines and constraints
✓ Developing layout strategies for power, grounding, thermal management, signal integrity, creepage, and clearance
✓ Reviewing PCB placement and routing with internal teams or external design partners
✓ Ensuring layouts meet electrical safety and EMC requirements
PROTOTYPE & VERIFICATION
✓ Lead prototype board bring-up, system integration, troubleshooting, and hardware debugging.
✓ Plan and execute functional verification using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power analyzers, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
✓ Perform electrical signal characterization and evaluate power integrity, signal integrity, timing, noise, thermal performance, efficiency, and system stability.
✓ Define hardware verification plans, test procedures, acceptance criteria, and engineering reports.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL DELIVERY
✓ Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, thermal, compliance, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
✓ Work with and manage component suppliers, PCB vendors, contract manufacturers, and other external engineering partners.
✓ Support engineering builds, design verification tests, pilot runs, and mass-production ramp-up.
✓ Track, analyze, and resolve hardware issues using structured bug-tracking and root-cause analysis processes.
✓ Drive corrective and preventive actions for design, component, supplier, and manufacturing-related issues.
✓ Conduct surveys and feasibility studies of new technologies, components, design architectures, and manufacturing processes applicable to future home appliance products.
