Onsite Marketing lead, Amazon Pay
Amazon Pay is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager who will own the end-to-end onsite marketing engine across lifecycle, GTMs, and channel operations. This person will be the single threaded owner of how we plan, execute, and optimize marketing across onsite assets (Gateway, Interstitials, Thank you page asset), lifecycle journeys to settle and upsell on the app, and strategic GTM launches for Amazon Pay products and Amazon sale events (HVEs/ARTs) as an SPOC. The role requires someone who can think strategically about share of voice planning while also getting into the weeds of journey orchestration, experiment design, and cross functional coordination with central homepage & events teams as well as internal category teams.
Key job responsibilities
1. Own monthly SOV (Share of Voice) planning across all onsite channels. Build and maintain the SOV planning mechanism and tenets that enable inventory allocation across GTMs, always on programs, and strategic priorities. Ensure every launch has a clear channel plan with impression targets, CTR guardrails, and cohort targeting logic.
2. Manage the strategic intake process for launches. Coordinate across product, category, and business teams to ensure every GTM request is triaged, planned, and executed with clear ownership and timelines.
3. Lead the onsite intercept strategy for new app launches and feature rollouts. Drive actions on how new products get surfaced to the right customers at the right time through onsite placements, coordinating with product, design, and engineering.
4. Define and run lifecycle marketing journeys across the full funnel: Acquire, Engage, Upsell. Set up multi stage automated journeys on the engagement platform including triggers, branching logic, channel selection, wait times, and exit criteria. Track stage wise drop offs weekly and action fixes.
5. Serve as the events leader for Stores led events (Prime Day, Great Indian Festival etc). Own the marketing GTM from teaser through sale, including channel allocation, creative briefing, performance tracking, and post event reporting.
6. Act as the team leader for a team of 3 marketing managers & merchandisers on onsite & events marketing operations. Represent onsite pod in business reporting including WBR/MBR connects, dashboards, and review cadences.
A day in the life
You start the morning by reviewing the AI powered dashboards and call-outs on channel wise performance across — Gateway CTRs, Interstitial impressions, Unified Thank-you-pages,etc. Review the newly launched GTM campaigns and lifecycle journey drop-offs from last week's automated flow. Something's under-performing; you dig into the cohort split, identify the segment, and Slack the creative team a revised brief before standup.
By 10am, you're in the leading the new GTM planning and execution by triaging next week's launches — a new UPI feature rollout needs onsite campaign , a recharges category team wants a prime only Share of voice allocation, a new Rupay credit card launch needs onsite intercepts and the Prime Day events plan needs your alignment and teaser assets need sign-off. You run the intake, assign slots, set timelines.
Post-lunch is lifecycle: you're reviewing the Acquire→Engage journey in MoEngage — adjusting branching logic on a trigger that's leaking users at step 3. You set up the A/B, define exit criteria, and move on.
You close the day prepping the WBR narrative — connecting this week's SOV utilization and funnel metrics to the business outcomes leadership cares about. Three Slack threads get resolved on the walk to the parking lot.
About the team
This role is part of Amazon Pay. Amazon Pay India is building the country's most comprehensive digital payments experience — UPI, bill payments, credit cards, buy-now pay later, travel, subscriptions, and shopping rewards — for millions of Amazon customers. We sit at the intersection of fintech and e-commerce, with a singular mission: make Amazon Pay the most preferred payments app for affluent Amazon shoppers. Our Central Marketing team operates like a high-conviction startup — small, senior, high-autonomy. We own brand, onsite, lifecycle, performance marketing, and events across a product portfolio spanning credit, UPI, merchant payments, and a standalone app launch. We're AI-native in how we work (gen-AI creative pipelines, ML-powered personalization, automated orchestration) and metrics-obsessed in how we measure. If you want to build playbooks that don't exist yet, at a scale that few Indian fintech teams can offer, this is the team.
