Our client, a leading financial services and insurance group, is seeking a Solution Architect to own the end-to-end solution design for their finance and actuarial transformation. Reporting to the Head: Centre IT, you will translate business requirements into robust, scalable and secure architectures spanning ERP, actuarial and data platforms, integration and cloud. You will define target-state architecture for the finance operating model, present designs to architecture review boards, and provide hands-on technical guidance to delivery teams through to implementation and stabilisation.
Key focus areas: solution and integration design, finance data architecture, architectural governance and assurance, vendor technical evaluation, and executive stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- 8+ years in IT solution or technical architecture, with 4+ years in insurance or financial services
- Proven delivery of finance ERP and reporting solutions at group/enterprise scale
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion, SAP S/4HANA or Workday, plus point solutions such as OneStream, Anaplan, MS Dynamics 365 F&O, Coupa or Blackline
- Strong integration architecture across APIs, EDI, ESB, event streaming and batch patterns
- Data architecture background: Data Mesh, MDM, finance data lakes/warehouses, ETL (Informatica), SQL
- Cloud architecture on Azure, AWS or GCP, including migration and hybrid patterns
- Exposure to AI, RPA and ML in finance contexts
- Working knowledge of security, IAM and data privacy by design
- Experience leading cross-functional design workshops and architecture forums
- Visio or equivalent modelling tools, Jira, MS Office; Agile and Waterfall
