Ontology & Semantic Data Modeler

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Knowledge, Ontology & Semantic Modeler with 6-8+ years of experience in ontology engineering, semantic modeling, knowledge graph development, or enterprise data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Designing enterprise ontologies, taxonomies, semantic models, and knowledge graphs to establish consistent business meaning across multiple data sources.
• Defining business concepts, entities, relationships, hierarchies, rules, and metrics.
• Developing semantic mappings between source data, canonical models, and business ontologies.
• Implementing entity resolution, semantic enrichment, and ontology alignment.
• Strong knowledge of RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL, JSON-LD, and SHACL.
• Experience in graph databases such as Neo4j, GraphDB, or Amazon Neptune.
• Building semantic layers for business queries, knowledge retrieval, and AI applications.
• Establishing semantic governance, validation, lineage, and version management.
• Collaborating with business and technical teams to create reusable semantic models.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in ontology engineering, semantic modeling, knowledge graph development, or enterprise data architecture.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, Graph RAG, hybrid retrieval, Python, metadata management, and semantic web libraries will be an added advantage.
