Serapion, a Zagreb-based software development firm (est. 2011) building enterprise solutions for clients like Siemens, Vodafone and BMW, is collecting CVs from full-stack engineers. Engineers work hybrid (2 office days/week), building backend APIs in TypeScript, PHP, Python, C# or Java with React/Vue/Angular frontends and MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB databases.

There are around 100 of us globally with offices, but 16 of us are in Zagreb. 90% of our team are solid mids and seniors, with two junior colleagues.

- Mid-level salary range: €2000-€3500 gross 1
- Senior salary range: €3500-€5500 gross1
- Hybrid working method (two days in the office weekly)

And what we value in a software engineer 👇🏻
- Minimal experience of 4 years working with at least one backend language (Javascript/Typescript, PHP, Python, C# or Java) and their respective frameworks (e.g.. Nest.js, Laravel, FastAPI, .NET Core or Spring);
- Willing to tackle and learn another backend language if needed;
- Proficiency working with databases like mysql, postgresql, mongodb or similar;
- Knowledge of database schema design;
- You have written RESTful API applications before;
- You have implemented RESTful API backend to your frontend before;
- You know what JWT auth, basic auth or OAuth flow is;
- Good understanding of OOP principles;
- You know design patterns and what they are used for, you implemented some of them;
- Proficient in frontend technologies (ie. you know javascript / typescript and are comfortable writing code with it);
- Experience in one of the frontend frameworks (React/Vue.js/Angular);
- Experienced with design techniques and mobile first development in responsive design implementation;
- You feel comfortable working with GIT.
It's a bonus if you have or are familiar with:
- Worked with frontend and backend on one or more projects.
You know what Redux (or MobX) is for; - You worked with GraphQL;
- Implemented and worked with Apollo;
- You know nuxt.js (or other SSR frameworks) and understand the "why" behind it;
- You understand microservices architecture (and it's pitfalls);
- You know what a pipeline is and how it works;
