Job Title: Application Packaging Engineer

Job Summary

The Application Packaging Engineer is responsible for creating, testing, and deploying software packages for enterprise environments. This role ensures applications are packaged according to organizational standards and delivered seamlessly to end-user devices using deployment tools like MECM (SCCM), Intune, or other distribution platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Package applications using tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield, or Wise Package Studio.
• Create MSI, MST, and App-V packages following best practices.
• Distribute packaged applications via MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, or other deployment systems.
• Validate successful deployment and troubleshoot installation issues.
• Perform functional and compatibility testing on packaged applications.
• Ensure compliance with security and organizational standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation for packaging processes, version control, and deployment steps.
• Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript) to automate packaging and deployment tasks.
• Work closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, and service desk for smooth delivery.
