Purpose: Responsible for leading manufacturing quality assurance activities across assembly operations to ensure products meet customer requirements, engineering specifications, and internal quality standards. The role drives quality performance through process control, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, customer complaint management, and continuous improvement initiatives while providing technical leadership to inspectors and cross-functional teams.
Key Area of Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee in-process and outgoing quality assurance activities to ensure products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
2. Monitor and drive quality performance indicators such as FPY, DPU, OQI, and customer quality metrics to achieve operational targets.
3. Analyze quality trends, defects, and non-conformance data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
4. Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects to improve the process improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
5. Lead and drive for root cause investigations using quality tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, A3, and 8D methodologies.
6. Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and conduct verification and validation actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
7. Review and approve quality documentation, inspection records, and Certificates of Conformance (COC) prior to product shipment.
8. Lead investigations and disposition of non-conforming materials, products, and workmanship-related issues.
9. Supervise, coach, and develop quality inspectors to ensure competency, compliance, and effective execution of inspection activities to strengthen the assembly quality inspection system.
10. Collaborate with engineering team to develop, implement, and continually improve quality control plans, inspection criteria, and manufacturing checklists.
11. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities by ensuring quality planning, documentation, and inspection controls are established and effective
12. Responsible for manufacturing quality assurance including in-process quality, semi-finished product quality, and outgoing product quality.
13. Develop, create, and optimize CMM measurement programs using software such as LK, Zeiss, Mitutoyo, or equivalent measurement machine.
14. Perform dimensional inspections on components, assemblies, and tooling, and validate measurement methods and inspection routines.
15. Support set-up and continuous improvement of inspection processes, measurement systems, and inspection instructions.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical) or Material Science.
- 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance function, at least 3 years as a quality leader with supervisory experience in the manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge and practice in 8D, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QFD, 6-sigma methodology, PPAP, change management.
- Good understanding of First Article Inspection requirements and expectations.
- Strong in statistical knowledge and 6-sigma methodology. Certified Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
- Strong in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

- Excellent leadership and effective communicator with all levels of associates and management
