YOUR ROLE

• Develop strategies with the Aptiv team and key suppliers within APV to proactively prevent issues such as raw material shortages, capacity constraints, vacation scheduling impacts, port congestion, and other supply chain risks. Focus efforts on securing more than 8 weeks of supply coverage.
• Lead and coordinate action plans to resolve operational purchasing issues, including raw material shortages, capacity constraints, supplier service and responsiveness concerns, among others. Address issues promptly and follow through until resolution.
• Lead, coordinate, and maximize Cost Recovery negotiations. Collaborate with plant teams to ensure timely and appropriate supporting documentation. Coordinate with suppliers to obtain timely responses.
• Support the Payment Resolution team by leading and resolving suspended credit situations and payment-related issues as required. Manage supplier ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) non-compliance documentation and related issues.
• Document and track purchases made through distributors, including root causes, costs, and cost deltas. Work with the PC team to determine responsibility between the supplier and Aptiv and ensure cost recovery from suppliers when applicable.
• Improve the relationship and interaction between SCM and PC teams through enhanced communication, process alignment, availability, and collaboration.

• Comply with company policies and procedures, maintaining zero non-conformities related to BSI, Internal Controls, EOS internal audits, and customer audits.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• English proficiency at approximately 80% or higher.
• +3 years of experience that Buyer (Sourcing) *must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to lead and direct personnel.
• Strong decision-making skills.
