Operational Excellence and Process Safety, Aroma Ingredients

Objectives of the Position

Operations Aroma Ingredients is responsible for global production of our leading products. This position supports the operational excellence of assigned key technologies and value chains throughout their lifecycle by driving technical process optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to achieve reliable, safe, and cost-efficient operations across all aroma assets globally.

Main Tasks

• Responsible for Operational Excellence of assigned complex key technologies and value chains over their lifecycle (standard operation, start-up, shutdown, stand-by, turnaround, troubleshooting, quality, regulatory, etc.). Continuously drive technical process optimization and operational excellence in all assets (technical documentation, sharing of best practices, digitalization and AI implementation, etc.) to improve reliability and reduce product costs.
• Main contact for operations teams, technology, marketing, supply chain, quality and project management for assigned assets and products with focus on Asia.
• Support trouble shooting for Aroma assets globally.
• Manage regular communication with the respective production sites.
• Install and align reporting, communication channels and operational targets.
• Align and realize projects and lead teams to upgrade facilities according to business needs.
• Support new investments and project plans including milestones and deliverables.
• Participate in virtual communities to exchange experiences between Citral and Menthol assets.
• Support technical, regulatory and EHS compliance in the region incl. operational support of process safety related activities (e.g. HAZOP, RC Audit, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum degree in natural sciences or other related field
• Good knowledge of production and project management skills
• Expertise in Citral and Menthol technology as well as process safety
• Knowledge about processes in research and operational laboratories
