The Position:

Reporting to the VP Critical Operations ICT System (APAC).

The focus of this role is to be responsible for managing deployment and maintaining the ICT OT infrastructure in Tokyo/Japan.

This will include all aspects of OT systems including BMS/EPMS Applications, Data Centre ICT and Security Applications ensuring system performance, infrastructure, information management and security. ICT related solution designs will be aligned to the longterm strategic goals of the organisation, leveraging cloud services where practical, and keeping pace with changes and trends in technology.

Areas of Responsibility:

· Develop and design technical infrastructure solutions that align with the STACK APAC business and technology objectives.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse technical requirements and constraints for infrastructure projects.

· Monitor ICT/OT system health, alerts, availability, capacity, performance, backup status, security posture, and operational risks, ensuring timely investigation, escalation, remediation, and documentation.

· Ensure ICT/OT platforms remain resilient, supportable, patched, backed up, recoverable, and aligned with approved architecture and operational standards.

· Prepare, review, and execute ICT/OT change records, MOPs, implementation plans, rollback plans, validation steps, stakeholder communications, and post-change evidence in accordance with STACK’s infrastructure regulations and governance.

· Participate in CAB and emergency change processes, ensuring change risk, customer impact, operational impact, security impact, dependencies, and maintenance-window requirements are clearly assessed and approved before execution.

· Ensure changes are executed exactly as approved, with deviations stopped, escalated, and documented in accordance with change governance requirements.

· Participate in the 24/7 on-call roster and provide timely response for Severity 1, 2, and 3 ICT/OT incidents in accordance with defined response, escalation, communication, and restoration SLAs.

· Triage, investigate, escalate, and resolve ICT/OT incidents in accordance with defined SLAs, OLAs, escalation paths, and major incident procedures.

· Support major incident management, including technical investigation (RCA), restoration actions, communications input, evidence capture, incident timelines, and post-incident reviews.

· Implement and maintain security controls across ICT/OT infrastructure, privileged access controls, secure administration, logging, monitoring and vendor remote access controls.

· Maintain accurate ICT/OT configuration, asset, warranty, licensing, support, and lifecycle records in FreshService or the approved ITSM platform.

· Design, develop and document IT/OT infrastructure solutions that align with STACK APAC architecture, security standards, operational support models, resilience requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

· Recommend and execute improvements and solutions. Provide a clear resource planning and timeline for all OT related improvement projects. List and resource plans shall be fortnightly.

· Manage MSP and vendor activities affecting ICT/OT infrastructure, ensuring work is governed through approved access, change, incident, security, and site procedures.

· Managing and following up on Service Desk Tickets (OT related ones only) to ensure smooth operation of infrastructure systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing support to end-users using OT systems.

· Maintaining tools and critical spare parts where necessary and keeping track within ITSM.

· This role is a very hands-on approach role, and being an all-rounder is essential.

Location: Inzai-city Chiba / Tokyo, Japan.

Travel: 10-15%.

Language: Native Japanese; Secondary English (Business Level - Spoken & Written).

Must-have Qualifications / Experience:

· High level technical knowledge and expertise in the management of IT systems.

· Excellent Vendor Management.

· Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.

· Excellent documentation skills.

· Strong technical background.

· Understanding Azure cloud services knowledge.

· Excellent experience with industry standard ITSM tools.

· Excellent documentational skills.

· Active Directory knowledge.

· Understanding Networking (CISCO / Meraki) knowledge.

· Scripting – PowerShell,

· Microsoft Windows Server Technologies 2016-2022.

· Understanding Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.

· BMS & CCTV understanding.

· Advanced networking skills including working in a multi-site SD-WAN environment.

· Ability to self-motivate and work independently.

· Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.

· Confident and effective communication skills.
