Salary: $89,235 – $101,630 per annum plus 15.25% super

Turn data into decisions that make Council work better
This new role sits right at the heart of how Council understands its customers. You'll turn customer, service and operational data into clear, practical insight that shapes better decisions and better outcomes for the Launceston community.
You'll dig into what's working and what's not, build the dashboards and reports that Leaders actually use, and measure whether our projects, systems, digital tools and AI initiatives are making a real difference. You'll do it in close partnership with Customer Service, operational Leaders and IT, so the whole organisation gets a clearer picture of the customer experience, not just one team's slice of it.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Turn customer, service and operational data into clear, actionable insight for Council leaders
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that leaders actually use
Support customer journey improvements and service change with solid evidence
Measure the impact of projects, systems, digital tools and AI initiatives on customer experience
Support business cases with solid data on demand, cost, risk and customer impact
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
About You
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in data analysis, business analysis, customer experience or a related field
Advanced skills in Power BI and Microsoft Excel, with runs on the board turning data into dashboards and reports
Demonstrated experience analysing customer, service or operational data to produce clear, actionable insight
Confidence working across multiple systems and data sources, including validating data quality
Strong ability to translate complex data into plain English for leaders and non-technical audiences
