Operations Analyst

About the Position: This position is located in Falls Church, Virginia. This position serves as a key coordinator and analytical focal point within the Operations Center. The incumbent monitors operational communications and data across military and federal channels to assess medical capabilities, facility readiness, and operational status worldwide. Salary and leave accrual negotiation might be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Evaluates Joint Chiefs of Staff and Automated Message Handling communications across all medical treatment facilities to identify systemic operational impacts, critical medical trends, and deployment readiness.

Leverages critical analysis of severe weather and environmental data to develop risk-mitigation strategies and operational continuity plans for vulnerable MTFs.

Prepares and submits Critical Information Requirements, Serious Incident Reports, Operational Reports, Director's Update Briefs, and Defense Health Agency contract requests.

Supports the preparation and execution of daily combined operations/intelligence briefings.

Promotes the bridging of DHA, interagency operations centers, military groups, and subordinate commands into a fused situational awareness team in support of the Director's decision making cycle.

Coordinates Defense Health Agency, military, interagency, and non-governmental partner efforts across exercises, operations, and humanitarian disaster relief missions.
