Operations Analyst
Digital Matter Operations Analyst
Digital Matter is looking for an analytical, systems-focused and proactive Operations Analyst to improve the data, reporting, controls and automated workflows that support our operational environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex or fragmented operational data into trusted information, scalable processes and practical decision-making tools. The successful candidate will work across planning, procurement, production, inventory, warehousing and logistics to improve visibility, reduce manual effort and identify operational risks before they become disruptions.
About the Role
As Operations Analyst, you will design, maintain and continuously improve the dashboards, data models, system controls and automated workflows used across Operations.
You will help establish reliable sources of truth for operational performance, readiness, risk and priorities. This includes improving reporting accuracy, supporting ERP and MRP data governance, developing early-warning indicators, automating repetitive activities and providing structured analysis to operational leaders.
The role is focused on enabling and improving how operational teams work. It is not intended to take permanent ownership of routine procurement, supply planning, production scheduling, warehouse execution or other transactional activities.
• Create reliable reporting across demand, supply, material readiness, production, inventory, supplier commitments, warehousing, logistics, cost and operational risk.
• Define reporting rules, data ownership, calculation logic, refresh standards and validation controls.
• Reconcile reports against source systems and investigate discrepancies before information is released.
• Maintain clear documentation so reporting logic is transparent, controlled and not dependent on individual knowledge.
• Consolidate supplier backorders, shortages, estimated delivery dates and purchasing risks into practical decision-support tools.
• Develop early-warning indicators for material shortages, late supply, demand changes, excess inventory exposure and planning instability.
• Improve visibility of material readiness, production status, manufacturing order health, supplier performance and forecast changes.
• Build and maintain dashboards covering production plan adherence, throughput, build readiness, quality trends and operational constraints.
• Support analysis of production capacity, bottlenecks, yield, rework and recurring causes of disruption.
• Act as an Operations system steward for Cin7 Core or other ERP/MRP platforms.
• Monitor manufacturing order accuracy, transaction discipline, inventory movements and operational master data.
• Develop exception reports and validation controls that identify incorrect, incomplete or ageing system transactions.
• Identify repetitive, manual or error-prone processes and implement suitable automation.
• Develop workflows, alerts, scripts, dashboards and integrations that reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Measure the benefits delivered through process improvement, including time saved, errors prevented and risks reduced.
• Provide structured analysis and recommendations to the Head of Operations and functional leaders.
• Support KPI development, root-cause analysis, scenario modelling and operational performance reviews.
• Create process maps, data definitions, user guides and training materials.
• Train users and support adoption of new reporting, system and automation solutions.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered where strong operational systems, analytics and automation capability can be demonstrated.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in operations analytics, industrial engineering, supply chain analytics, business intelligence or systems improvement.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and automated reporting workflows.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP, manufacturing, procurement, inventory, warehouse or logistics data.
• Experience improving a process from initial problem definition through implementation, adoption and measured benefit.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, complex formulas, data modelling and structured analysis.
• Strong Power BI capability, including data transformation, DAX, dashboard design and publishing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Cin7 Core, DEAR or similar.
• Experience with Power Automate, scripting, APIs or other workflow automation tools.
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, exception reporting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
• Strong process mapping, documentation and user-training capability.
• Interest in the practical use of AI to improve operational processes.
